The Barrett REC7 DI was built with direct inspiration from Eugene Stoner's original AR15 direct impingement design, resulting in a lightweight, modular, and accurate rifle. The upper and lower receiver are precision machined from solid 7075-T6 aluminum and are given a Type 3 hardcoat anodized finish for corrosion and weather resistance. It features a mid-length gas system for reliability paired with a cold-hammer forged, chrome lined barrel topped with a 3-prong flash hider. Other features include a ALG QMS trigger that provides the reliability of a Mil-Spec trigger without any of the grittiness. The REC7 DI is rounded out with a full length handguard featuring multiple M-LOK attachment points and a full length picatinny rail.
